Prime Minister’s Research Fellow PMRF 2018 Online Application Opened at pmrf.in Know Eligibility, Fee Payment Procedure. The Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) scheme is aimed at attracting the talent pool of the country to doctoral (Ph.D.) programs of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for researching cutting edge science and technology domains, with focus on national priorities. The fellowship will lead to direct admission in IISc or 23 IITs for full time Ph.D. programme.
Online registration for Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) has begun. The last date to apply online application 31st March 2018 at www.pmrf.in. B.Tech graduates or those in the final year of B.Tech or Integrated M.Tech or integrated M.Sc. in Science and Technology streams from IISc/ IITs/ NITs/ IISERs/ IIITs are eligible for the fellowship.
Eligibility Criteria For (PMRF) Scheme:
The applicants should have completed or been pursuing the final year of four (or five) year undergraduate or five years integrated M.Tech or five years integrated M.Sc. or five-year undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) dual degree programs in Science and Technology streams.
Tthe eligibility criteria, and are finally selected through a selection process, will be offered admission to the Ph.D. program in one of IITs/IISc with a fellowship of Rs.70,000/- per month. For the first two years, Rs.75000/- per month for the 3rd year, and Rs.80000/- per month in the 4th and 5th years.
Apart from this, a research grant of Rs.2.00 lakh per year will be provided to each of the Fellows for five years to cover their academic contingency expenses and for foreign/national travel expenses.

- The Online Application: 24th February 2018 (at 10:00 am).
- Close of Online applications: 31st March.
- Tentative dates for interviews at Nodal institutions: 15th May, onwards.
- The tentative date for the announcement of results: 01st June 2018.
