Sunil Gavaskar Comments on Team India
Suni Gavaskar: The Cricket T20 World Cup 2022 tournament is the World Cup finale in Australia. Pakistan from Group-1 and England from Group-2 won the semi-finals and met in the final. In the final match, England team won a great victory over Pakistan. England has won the World Cup 2022 even though it is the birthplace of cricket. This is the second time that England has won the World Cup.
Now that this tournament is over, all the teams are currently focusing on the bilateral series. In this order, the Indian team will tour New Zealand. The series will start from November 18th. Three ODIs and three T20s will be played in this series. Former cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar has made sensational comments on the current situation in Team India.
While Team India has a head coach, there is no need for another batting coach for Team India, and due to such ill-advised decisions, the batters will get confused and there is a chance that the match will not be played properly because they do not know which coach to listen to.
In the T20 World Cup 2022 tournament, the Indian team, which entered the ring with the aim of winning the World Cup title, had to go home in the semi-final itself. In the semi-final 2 match, the Indian team competed against the English team and England won by ten wickets and reached the final. Team India lost badly by 10 wickets. Everyone is of the opinion that the performance of some of the team India in this tournament is actually not correct.
Apart from Virat Kohli, Surya Kumar Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshadeep Singh and Mohammed Shami, the performances of all the others have been mediocre. Responding to these failures, the former legend of Team India, Sunil Gavaskar, expressed concern about the latest situation in the team.
While criticizing BCCI’s decisions, he made sensational comments that the team has more supporting staff than players. He is of the opinion that when there is a situation like this in the team, there is a chance for the batters to get confused and there is a possibility of the players going to a situation where they do not know which coach to listen to.
Team India does not need another batting coach when the great batsman Rahul Dravid is the head coach. Batters are likely to get confused when one coach says one thing and another coach says another. That means there are chances that the match will not be played properly. Even now, putting such ill-advised decisions aside, let those who perform well play in the team and don’t play those who don’t.
When we played the 1983 World Cup, we had only one manager with us. He was the only one in the 1985 tournament. Moreover, there was a limited number of supporting staff during the 2011 World Cup. Sunil Gavaskar made sensational comments against the Indian team saying that if their number is increasing, there is a chance that the players will get confused as to whom to listen to.
