SSC CHSL 2017 Notification released for LDC/JAS, Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operator. Last date for online application is December 18. A total of 3259 posts are available.

SSC CHSL 2017 Notification online dates extended. The last date for online application is December 27. A total of 3259 posts are available. SSC invites online applications for the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant – 898, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant – 2359 and Data Entry Operator – 2. SSC CHSL 2017 will be held from 3rd March to 26th March.

Applicants between 18 to 27 years are eligible for SSC CHSL 2017 notification. Age reckons as on 01.08.2018. However, maximum age relaxation is applicable as per extant rules of Govt. SC/ST – 5 years, OBC-3 years, PWD – 10 years. Age relaxation is not applicable for Ex-servicemen who have already availed to get the employment under central government on a regular basis.

Educational Qualifications: Candidate must have passed 12th class or equivalent examination from a recognized university or board. Candidates applying for DEO in CAG must have passed 12th standard in science stream with mathematics as a subject.

Each candidate has to pay Rs.100 towards application fee. The fee can be paid through SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa/ Mastercard/Maestro Credit/ Debit card. Women candidates, SC/ST, PWD and eligible Ex-servicemen exempted from payment of the fee.

Selection Procedure

The examination consists of a Computer Based Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Typing Test/ Skill Test (Tier-III). CBE is objective type question paper. There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. Tier-II Paper will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in ‘Pen and Paper Mode The duration of the paper would be for one hour. Tier-III of the Examination would be the Skill Test/ Typing Test which would be of qualifying nature.
