Padmavat Movie Release date: Padmavati Clears Censor Test to release as ‘Padmavat’ on January 25. After the numerous controversies from few months, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum-opus ‘Padmavat‘ (earlier Padmavati) will finally hit the screens on January 25, 2018 for the extended Republic Day weekend.
Nearly ten days after the Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC) cleared it with a U/A certificate, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s controversial epic Padmavati now retitled Padmavat has a new release date.
The Padmavat movie was earlier scheduled to be released on December 1, 2017. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali has not released an official statement yet. Sources in the production house said the film would release on January 25th, 2018, one day before Republic Day.

The industry seemed to be preparing. Asked about a possible face-off with “Padmavat”, Akshay said he was not worried.
