Pre-metric Minority Scholarships Muslim, Parsi, Christian, Zoroastrian, Buddhist and Jain at https://scholarships.gov.in/. The government of India organizes the Pre-Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities 2018-2019. It invites online application from class 1 to 10 students from minority communities (Muslim, Parsi, Christian, Zoroastrian, Buddhist, and Jain).
The Pre-metric scholarship aims to motivate the parents to send their child to school, which directly leads to the upliftment of their socio-economic conditions. The selected students will receive admission fee, tuition fee, maintenance allowance for ten months in an academic year.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Class 1 to 10 students is eligible to apply.
- Students must have secured not less than 50% marks in the previous final exam.
- The annual income of their parent’s/guardian’s from all sources should do not exceed INR 1 lakh.
- The candidates belong to the minority community (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians and Jains).
Who is eligible for Pre-metric Minority Scholarships:
Family income: Family income source of the candidate applying for the scholarship should not exceed more than one lac from all sources. Family income implies income of the applicants parent’s or guardian.
Merit: Only those students who have scored 50 percent or above marks in the previous year final examination are eligible to apply.

What documents are required while applying online application:
No documents are required to be uploaded online on the national Scholarship Portal (NSP) for scholarship claims up to Rs 50000.
The list of documents/cirtificates that the applicants are required to submit for verification of their online application at their respective schools/institutions are as follows:
The candidates photo, Institution verification form. Income certificate: Income certificate’s issued by the competent authority in the State Government, if the school/institution asks for this document), Declaration of the student, Self-declaration of community certificate for 1st to 10th Class given by the parent/guardian.
Self-attested certificate of previous academic year’s qualifying exam, Fee receipt of current academic course year, Proof of Bank account, Residential/Domicile certificate (mandatory).
Aadhar Card (optional, however, we highly recommend submitting a copy of your Aadhar card to improve your chances of qualifying for the scholarship).
