HORTICET 2018: YSR Horticultural University invites B.Sc. (Hons.) Admissions academic year 2018-19. Dr. Y.S.R Horticultural University invites applications from Diploma in Horticulture candidates for admission into four years B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture Degree programme through HORTICET-2018 for the academic year 2018-19.
ELIGIBILITY: Student pass in Diploma in Horticulture course from Dr. YSRHU. (Those who are going to complete the Diploma requirements in 2017-18 academic year can also apply, but submission of Final Memorandum of Marks-cum-Pass Certificate of Diploma in Horticulture is must at the time of Admission counselling).
AGE: The candidates should have completed 17-22 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. 25 years and 27 years for SC, ST in respect of Physically Challenged (Disabled persons) candidates.
SEATS: Total No. of seats allotted to diploma holders is 15% of seats of B.Sc (Hons.) Horticulture : i.e., 83 seats {47 (Govt) + 36 (Pvt. College Seats)}.
Reservation: As per rules of Government of Andhra Pradesh. The above seats will be allocated in the ratio of 85% for local candidates. 15% seats will be treated as an unreserved quota. The question paper contains questions in Telugu Medium.
SYLLABUS and Exam: The Syllabus prescribed by Dr.YSRHU to Diploma in Horticulture Course. The entrance test is for 2.00 hours duration and the question paper (Multiple choice objective type questions) consists of 200 multiple choice bits.

Online Application of HORTICET 2018: Interested candidates may apply for admission in the prescribed proforma (enclosed) along with a D.D of Rs.650/- for General/BC candidates. Rs.325/- in case of SC/ST/Physically Disabled persons drawn in favor of the “COMPTROLLER, Dr. Y.S.R HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, payable at TADEPALLIGUDEM” on any Nationalized Bank (Original DD should be attached with the application form).
HORTICET 2018 – YSR Horticultural University invites B.Sc. (Hons.) Admissions EXAMINATION CENTRE & DATE: College of Horticulture, Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem-534101, Near Tadepalligudem, West Godavari Dist., on 18-07-2018 (Wednesday) from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon.
Hall Tickets: The list of eligible candidates along with the Hall Ticket numbers will be displayed at www.drysrhu.edu.in. Those candidates who have not received the Hall tickets can download the Hall Ticket from the University website and attend the HORTICET test.
HORTICET-2018: The qualifying percentage of marks for the HORTICET-2018 is 25% of the aggregate marks for General/BC categories. No minimum qualifying marks for SC, ST.
HORTICET-2018 Results: The merit list of the candidates will be displayed on the University website. For the preparation of merit list in case of more than one student securing the same marks, the tie shall be resolved by considering the following: 1. The percentage of aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination i.e., OGPA in Diploma in Horticulture course.
LIST OF ENCLOSURES:
- Attested copies of the marks statement of 10th standard and Diploma in Horticulture Course.
- Date of Birth Certificate.
- Two Self addressed stamped envelopes (Rs.5/- postal stamp) (For sending the hall ticket).
- Latest Conduct Certificate issued by the Head of the Institute last attended that he/she has never been found guilty of misconduct during the study period and never been fined or punished.
- Latest Caste Certificate issued by the Mandal Revenue Officer
- Certificates issued by the concerned authorities of State in the case of Special categories like Physically Disabled persons, NCC, SPORTS and CAP.
- 3 passport size photographs (pasted on the application form and Hall ticket). Original Demand draft for Rs. 650/- for General/BC candidates and for Rs.325/- in case of SC/ST/Physically Disabled persons drawn in favour of “COMPTROLLER, Dr. Y.S.R HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, payable at TADEPALLIGUDEM” on any Nationalized Bank.
Along with application form, 2 self-addressed envelopes affixed with Rs. 5/- postal stamp should be send. Application form duly filled should reach “The Registrar, Dr.Y.S.R Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem-534101, W.G.Dt., Andhra Pradesh on or before 28-06-2018 by 4.00 PM.
