Happy birthday MS Dhoni Wishes pour in as ‘Captain Cool’ celebrates his 37th birthday. The Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni turned 37 on Saturday 07th July 2018, and warm birthday wishes poured in for him not just from the cricket fraternity but also from the fans all around the world.
Dhoni made his debut for India back in 2004 in an ODI against Bangladesh and had played 318 matches since then. The right hand batsman has accumulated 9967 runs in the ODIs so far. Known for his swift glovework as well, he has taken 297 catches and has involved in 107 stumpings. The Dhoni is still a part of the limited overs side, he retired from the most extended format in 2014.
The MS Dhoni has been the only captain in the history of cricket who has won three ICC trophies. India first lifted the inaugural World T20 in 2007 under his captain and then won the ICC World Cup 2011. India followed the 2011 World Cup win with a triumph in 2013 Champions Trophy. Dhoni stepped down as limited-overs captain in January 2017.
As per the latest updates Captain Cool, as he is still fondly called, celebrated his birthday with wife Sakshi, daughter Ziva and all the members of the Indian team in his hotel room after the game.
Dhoni cut a cake with his family present at his side while his teammates sang Happy Birthday. The celebrations were led by Captain Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma as the rest of the team members also joined in.
