Hyderabad: Telangana CM KCR promises salary hike, medical facilities to Home Guards. Chief Minister KCR has made it clear that the Government is committed to addressing the issues of Home Guards. On Wednesday, CM has met Home Guards in the Pragati Bhavan. He has discussed on home guards salary increase and other issues. Hon’ble CM has guaranteed to do justice to the Home Guards.
There are 18,491 home guards in the state, KCR said. Home Guards will be provided facilities at par with regular police. He said that home guards would be given opportunity in various departments of the Home Department. Approximately 25 percent of the SPF would be given to the home guards. We will increase from 10% to 25% in the Fire Department.
Home Guards salary hike 2 to 10 percent in Police Communications would be increased and from 5 to 15 percent in AR Constables. Home Guards who work in the traffic division will get allowanced at par with regular police.
KCR has promised to grant a six-month maternity leave for female home guards and a 15-day paternity leave for male home guards. He said we will provide medical facilities equally to regular police and the Health Insurance Schemes for the home guard families.
CM KCR has clarified that the govt will provide the duty charges for security duties and the four uniforms. Home Guards will have a monthly salary of Rs 20,000 per month and will pay Rs.1000 extra irrespective of salary.
