CBSE UGC NET July 2018 Session Notification

UGC NET July 2018 Session Notification released, apply at  The Central Board of Secondary Education, on behalf of UGC, has issued notification for National Eligibility Test 2018 today.  NET is being conducted to determine the eligibility for Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Applicants may submit their applications online between March 5 to April 4.

The exam will be held on 8 July 2018 at 91 locations across the country.

Candidates who have passed Master’s Degree with at least 55 percent marks or equivalent examination. 50 percent marks for non-creamy layer OBC/ST/ST/PWD category candidates. Candidates who are appearing for final year Master Degree examination or whose result is awaiting can apply. Such candidates provisionally admitted appearing for exam subject to pass in Master’s Degree. The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s (with 50 percent) level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991.Login with AADHAR CARD CBSE UGC NET.


Candidates who are appearing for JRF age should not be more than 30 years as on 1 July 2018. Five years age relaxation applies to non-creamy layer OBC/ SC/ST/Women and PWD candidates. LLM degree holders will get three years age relaxation. Research experience candidates will get a maximum of 5 years relaxation on the production of a certificate from the appropriate authority.

No upper limit on age for Assistant Professor.

Examination Fee: General candidates should pay Rs.1000. OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates have to pay Rs.500. SC/ST/PWD category candidates must pay Rs.250.

Exam pattern UGC NET 2018

As per the revised scheme, the exam consists of two papers. Each question carries two marks in each paper. All questions are compulsory.

Paper 1 contains 50 objective type questions for 100 marks. The duration is one hour (9.30 AM to 10.30 AM).

Paper 2 contains 100 objective type questions for 200 marks. The duration is two hour (11 AM to 01 PM).
