AP SET 2018 On July 1, Notification Schedule released at apset.net.in. AU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nageswara Rao has officially announced the schedule dates of state eligibility test. Andhra University (AU) is conducting State Eligibility Test on behalf of APSCHE.

The government is conducting the APSET for recruitment of Assistant Professor/ Lecturers in universities and degree colleges. There are 26 Universities, 146 Government Degree Colleges, 1192 aided and unaided degree colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

AP SET 2018 notification details

Eligibility: Candidates must have passed Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent exam from any university/institution recognized by UGC. The pass percentage for OBC (Non-creamy layer)/ SC/ST/ persons with disability category candidates is 50% marks.

Candidates who have appeared or appearing for final exams or waiting for results are also eligible to apply subject to the outcome of the results of master’s degree.

A relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks applies to Ph.D. degree holders who have completed Master’s level examination.

No upper age limit applicable for applying for eligibility test.

The qualified candidates can apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the universities/ colleges situated in the Andhra Pradesh state.

Exam Pattern:

The written examination comprises of two papers. Paper I consists of teaching/ research aptitude for 100 marks. Paper II will be subject chosen by the candidate for 200 marks.

Examination centres: Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram, Gunturr, Nellore, Ananthapuram, Tirupati.

  • Issue of Notification: Mar 18.
  • Commencement of online applications: Mar 26.
  • Last date for online applications: May 2.
  • With a fine of fee Rs.1000, last date: May 10.
  • With a fine of fee Rs.2000, last date: May 21.
  • Last date with a fine of fee Rs.5000: Jun 6.
  • Date of State Eligibility Test: July 1.
