AP Anganwadi, Helper Salaries Hiked to Rs 10,500/-. The Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to hike the wages of Anganwadi workers from Rs 7,500 to Rs 10,500, and the wages of Anganwadi helpers would be hiked to Rs 4,500/-.

AP Anganwadi, Helper Salaries Hiked to Rs 10,500:

The decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada today 20th June 2018.

The new hike would benefit all Anganwadi workers and mini Anganwadi worker and helpers. Currently, the State government is spending on their wages.

About Anganwadi: As many as 13.3 lakh (a lakh is 100,000) Anganwadi and mini-Anganwadi centers (AWCs/mini-AWCs) are operational out of 13.7 lakh sanctioned AWCs/mini-AWCs, as of 31 January 2013.

These centers provide supplementary nutrition, non-formal pre-school education, nutrition and health education, immunization, health check-up and referral services of which later three functions provided in convergence with public health systems.
