7th Pay Commission Deputation Allowance doubled for central government employees. The deputation allowanced for central govt employees increased by two-fold from the existing Rs.2000 per month to Rs.4500.
According to an order issued by the central ministry, “the deputation allowance payable is 5% of basic pay subject to the max of Rs.4500 per month if the deputation is within the same station.”
The deputation (duty) allowances payable is ten percent of basic pay subject to the maximum of Rs.9000 per month if the deputation is out of the same station.
7th Pay Commission Deputation Allowance duty Guidelines:
(a) In case of deputation within the same station, the Duty of deputation payable allowance at the rate of 5% of b.p subject to a max of Rs.4500 per month.
(b) In case of deputation involving the change of station, the Duty of the deputation payable allowance at the rate of 10% of the B.P subject to a max of Rs.9000 per month.
(c) The ceilings will further rise 25 percent each time D.A increases by 50%.
(d) Basic Pay, from time to time, plus Duty Allowance shall not exceed the B.P at the apex level, i.e., Rs. 2,25,000/-. In the case of Government servants receiving Non-Practising Allowance, their basic pay plus Non-Practising Allowance plus Duty of deputation Allowance shall not exceed the average of B.P of the revised pay scale applicable to the Apex Level and the Level of the Cabinet Secretary, i.e., Rs.2,37,500/-
If the DA (dearness allowance) increases to fifty percent, the ceiling further raises to 25 percent each time.
At present, the deputation duty allowance is granted at the rate of five percent of basic pay and a maximum of Rs.2000 per month within the same station.
