National Entrance Screening Test NEST 2018 online application started at nestexam.in. The NEST is a compulsory test for admission to NISER, Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS, Mumbai. The Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India has set up NISER and UM-DAE CEBS in 2007.
National Entrance Screening Test is a test for admission to the five-year Integrated M.Sc. programme 2018-23 in basic sciences, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. NEST 2018 will be conducted in around 110 cities across India. NEST 2018 examination is in Computer-Based Test (CBT/online exam).
Candidate should satisfy all the four following criteria to become eligible for NEST 2018
- Should secure a position in the merit list of NEST
- Pass the 12th standard board examination in the science stream in the years 2016/2017/2018 from any recognized Higher Secondary Education Board in India.
- Must secure at least 60 percent in aggregate in the XII standard board examination. For SC/ST/PWD students the requirement is 55 percent.
- Born on or after 01 August 1998. Age limit is relaxable to five percent for SC/ST/PWD students.
About National Entrance Screening Test:
The NEST 2018 examination will be conducted in major cities all over India on 2nd June 2018 (Saturday) at 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Based on the performance in exam, NEST will prepare a common Merit List of the candidates and post on NEST 2018 website www.nestexam.in on June 18, 2018. Successful candidates for NEST 2018 exam have to participate in an admission/ counseling process.
Steps to fill NEST 2018 online application
All candidates must fll–up the online application form through https://nestexam.in from January 01, 2018. Candidates have to get registered themselves on the website. The candidate should possess valid mail ID and be working mobile number. NEST will send user credentials to registered mobile number and mail. Login to NEST website and fill up the details & submit the application.
The submission of online applications closes on 5th March 2018. The application fee for General & OBC categories is Rs.1000. For SC/ST/PWD and all female candidates is Rs.500. Applicants can pay application fee through the online payment gateway.
For the Integrated M.Sc Course 2018–23, the total number of seats at NISER & CEBS are 200+2(JK) and 45+2(JK) respectively.
