The NARI portal sums up over 350 govt schemes and important information for the benefit of women.

New Delhi: NARI Portal for women about all Central and State Govt schemes launched. Smt Maneka Gandhi, Minister of Women & Child Development, has inaugurated an online portal NARI today. The Minister of Women & Child Development has developed this application. It provides access to information on govt schemes & initiatives for women.

About NARI Portal

NARI will provide information on issues affecting women lives. It offers various tips on proper nutrition, information on major diseases, suggestions for health check-ups, investment and savings advice, tips for job search and interview, information on crimes, contacts of legal aid cells and much more. It will endow women to build their life skills & facilitates them.

The NARI portal sums up over 350 govt schemes and important information for the benefit of women. It provides links to other ministries, departments & autonomous bodies offering programmes and access to online application & grievance redressal.

It also provides a platform for civil societies and NGOs to interact with Women & Child Development (WCD). On occasion, Maneka Gandhi said that women of the country would be able to access the information & benefits provided to them. This portal contains the info about schemes run by central as well as the state govt.

The minister said that the WCD would launch new National Nutrition Mission in January 2018 and make operational in 315 districts across the country. The minister explained that the ministry had given conditional cash transfer under maternity benefit scheme PMMVY to 50.7 lakhs women. She has also revealed that registration of Child Care Institutions expired on December 31.

MWCD has also developed e-Samvad portal. It enables civil society and NGOs to provide their feedback, put up grievances, suggestions, share best practices, etc. A senior officer of MWCD will view the inputs/ suggestions and appropriately respond to NGOs. It will help in the formulation of policies & measures for the welfare of women & children
